Ramadan is a holy month that is observed by many Muslims around the world. During this time, it is crucial for mosques and surau to clean their carpets to ensure the comfort and hygiene of congregants, especially during the crowded tarawih prayer.
Project Background
During the holy month of Ramadan, it is essential for mosques and surau to maintain clean and hygienic carpets to ensure comfort for the congregants during prayer, particularly during the crowded taraweeh prayers. In preparation for Ramadan, our team at Cleanhero Sdn Bhd was tasked with cleaning a total of 66018 sqft of carpets and hard floors across approximately 28 mosques and surau in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor.
Challenges faced
One of the main challenges faced by our team was the tight schedule, as the cleaning needed to be completed before the start of Ramadan. Additionally, with the COVID-19 pandemic, it was crucial to adhere to strict health and safety protocols to prevent the spread of the virus while still providing effective cleaning services. Besides that, one of the challenges is to clean between prayers and to ensure the carpets are completely dry for congregants to pray, which is typically done before the Zuhr prayer.
Our Solution
Our team worked closely with each mosque and surau to schedule cleaning appointments that were convenient for them and ensured that our cleaning methods were in line with the health and safety guidelines provided by the authorities. We employed cutting-edge techniques and used the appropriate equipment to ensure that the carpets and hard floors were cleaned effectively and efficiently.
The Results
Our team of experienced technicians, comprising approximately 1-2 teams of 2 manpower for each project, completed the deep cleaning services with great success. The overall result was satisfying, as the people could pray comfortably on the clean and hygienic carpets throughout the 30 days of Ramadan. The mosques and surau were pleased with the outcome, and we received positive feedback from the congregants as well.
